Team USA wins first-ever Bowhunter Cup

Team USA won the first-ever Bowhunter Cup, 13-11, at the War Memorial at Oncenter in Syracuse, NY on Saturday.

The Nationals jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Americans battled back to tie the score at 6-6 at halftime. With the game deadlocked at 7-7 in the third, Bill McGlone scored three times in the final three minutes of the quarter to put USA ahead for good.

McGlone finished with four goals, while Kyle Buchanan added three and Paul Rabil scored twice. Casey Powell, Chris Panos, Dan Deckelbaum and Greg Rogowski added singles for USA.

Duey Porter led the Nationals with three goals, while Cody Jamieson and Brett Bucktooth each scored twice. Lyle Thompson, Jerome Thompson, Miles Thompson and Shaney Francis added singles for the Nationals.
