Orange County LXMATS Preview

San Diego, CA - LXM and Adrenaline set the stage for the LXM|ATS 2013 tournament season with a weekend saturated with top tier lacrosse both on the professional and high school level. Immediately following the end of the spring season, LXM will kick off its first professional game of the 2013 LXM|ATS season with its 4th visit to Orange County on June 8th, 2013. Orange Coast College will host a double header featuring the LXM and Adrenaline All-American games for a 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM start time, respectively. The first LXM game of the series will act as a precursor to The ADRLN All-American game, a competition among the top 50 players in western North America. LXM players, the mentors and inspiration for some if not all the Adrenaline All-Americans, will watch and support the AAA teams. As the birthplace of LXM and home of a number of the LXM players, Orange County is expected to host record numbers of attendants. Last year’s event saw live attendance figures of 8000+ fans.

June 8th marks the first stop on the much anticipated LXM|ATS tour. As usual the LXM professional event will correspond with a competitive tournament held at Orange Coast College and Jack Hammett Sports Complex. Competition will occur across five divisions- Elite (9th-12th grade), High School (9th & 10th grade only), Middle School (7th & 8th grade), Youth (5th & 6th grade), and Groms (3rd & 4th grade). Games will start early Saturday morning and continue throughout the day leading up to the back-to-back LXM and AAA games. LXM|ATS sets itself apart from other tournament series because it combines the most elite level of competitive lacrosse with a full-length professional game to expose players to a higher level of play. Unique to the first LXM|ATS weekend is the addition of the Adrenaline All-American game because it bridges the gap between youth and professional lacrosse. It showcases the possibilities and potential for youth players to one day be invited to this prestigious event and eventually play as an LXM PRO.

The Adrenaline All-American rosters are made of the top western soon-to-be graduated seniors who have committed to different NCAA universities to play at the collegiate level. Both teams will sport newly designed Adrenaline treated uniforms including matching jerseys, shorts, and socks. Maverik will contribute heavily to the gear pack by providing each player with the Maverik Boost shaft and a full set of pads. Players will also receive matching All-American Maverik Rome gloves and a newly released custom CPXR helmet to complete the outfit. As a part of the Adrenaline Marquee family, the 2013 All-American rosters include players from nine states and one province: Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Texas, Minnesota, Nevada, and British Columbia. Most of these talented players have come through the Adrenaline system. Among the past AAA players that are making a splash at the collegiate level are Challen Rogers (Stony Brook), Michael Hernandez (Michigan), Tanner Scales (Virginia), and Dakota Rohlin (Jacksonville). Key players looking to fill their shoes in this year’s All-American game include Kieran Eissler (Hopkins), Lucas Gradinger (Maryland), Wilkins Dismuke (Hopkins), Matt Emery (Virginia) and Mike Schlosser (Michigan). As a proud partner of LXM PRO, The Lacrosse Network will live stream both games. Newly signed Knockaround has revamped the LXM PRO post-game autograph session and is open to all attending fans. Participating tournament players will receive free admission to both games.

LXM players and Adrenaline All-American players will also hold free clinics for all participating tournament players throughout the day that touch on different topics such as dodging & shooting, face-off techniques, goal-keeping & defensive positioning, and more. LXM Pro clinics give young players the opportunity to learn from the best athletes in the game, including LXM PRO and STX sponsored players such as Kyle Harrison, Sam Bradman, Tim Desko, and Matt Russell. Other returning members for Team STX include the Bratton twins, the Ritz brothers, Andrew Casimir, and Maxx Davis. The opposing team roster includes top-tier players such as Sean Lindsay, Graham Gill, JR Oreskovich, Brendan Porter, and Erik Krum.

Come watch Team STX and Team Maverik rock the fresh, new Adrenaline-treated Champion uniforms as they face off against one another on June 8th. Players will also be equipped with custom Champion warm-ups including Crewneck Sweatshirts, sweatpants, and short and long sleeve shooting shirts. The Adrenaline design team has also partnered with Knockaround* sunglasses to create branded LXM shades, available for purchase. Other supporting sponsors of the LXM|ATS series include STX, Maverik*, Cascade*, Gatorade, SKLZ*, Athletes Performance*, and Adrenaline Apparel* (*also sponsors of AAA). Gatorade will be on site fueling all participating athletes with their G-Series products to boost overall performance. Tickets to the LXM and Adrenaline All-American games are available for purchase online. General admission and VIP tickets cost $ 20 and $100, respectively. The VIP experience includes sideline spectator privileges, a private autograph session immediately following the game, and on field pass for warm-ups and halftime, food and beverage, and access to LXM PRO clinics and demos.
