Maverik Debuts New Final Four Commercial Featuring Pro Lacrosse MVP Paul Rabil

Long Island City, NY, May 27, 2010 -- Maverik Lacrosse (www.maveriklacrosse.com) and Maverik Films today unveiled its third "BE READY" film/TV commercial featuring Maverik Soldier and newly signed Red Bull athlete Paul Rabil. This groundbreaking commercial directed by Jay Jalbert was produced in cooperation with Red Bull and filmed at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. The commercial will air nationally for the first time on May 29 during the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Final Four on ESPN2 and again May 31 on ESPN during the Championship game and throughout the day on SportsCenter. The commercial is also available on Maverik's official fan page at www.facebook.com/maveriklacrosse.

"This commercial is a breakthrough event for lacrosse as well as Maverik," said John Gagliardi, founder and President of Maverik Lacrosse LLC. "I am looking forward to working with Red Bull and helping them bring lacrosse to a whole new audience of athletes and fans."

Rabil joins an impressive list of elite Red Bull supported athletes including Super Bowl Champion Reggie Bush, Vancouver Olympic gold medalists Shaun White and Lindsey Vonn, and the Boston Celtics’ Rajon Rondo.

“I've always been impressed with the world of Red Bull, as they push the limits and don’t do things in a traditional way,” said Rabil. “I look forward to putting my new wings to use both on and off the field.”

Winner of the Major League Lacrosse Fastest Shot competition in 2009 (clocked at 111 MPH), Rabil’s signature speed, power and vision has made him the most entertaining and talented player in professional lacrosse, as well as an emerging personality off the field.

As the leading scorer on the Washington Stealth squad that recently won the National Lacrosse League championship and as the league MVP for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse, he brings championship pedigree to a Red Bull athlete roster of high performers around the world.

Rabil, a 24-year old midfielder from Gaithersburg, Maryland, played his collegiate lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University where he was a member of the 2005 and 2007 NCAA Championship winning Blue Jay teams. He was selected 1st overall by the Boston Cannons in the 2008 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft and 2nd overall in the National Lacrosse League entry draft.
