MacArthur High School Wears Autism Awareness Uniforms

MacArthur High School recently beat Mineola 16-3 in their first annual Autism Awareness Game. Coin toss was accompanied by Brendan Gallagher and Ryan Causeman who both have Autism along with MacArthur captains Brendan Smith, Gerard Cunningham, Ryan Purcell and Pat Newins. Brendan Gallagher and his father are big MacArthur supporters and Brendan was also an honorary member of the Football, Basketball and Wrestling teams. Ryan Causeman is the Autistic son of the school's dean Mr. Causeman. The team honored them by wearing custom Nike jerseys that display the puzzle pattern which is an iconic symbol for the fight against Autism. All proceeds from donations, raffles and gift baskets are going to the Hagedorn Little Village School for Special Needs Children. View the uniforms below.
