LXM PRO | Maverik United San Diego

NEW YORK, NY: Maverik United returns to the field this weekend in Del Mar, San Diego looking to build off of their strong performance last week in Orange County, CA led by former Virginia standout and Maverik Athlete Johnny Christmas (4G,1A), and Salisbury grad Eric Krum(4G,1A). Former UNC attackman and Maverik athlete Billy Bitter made his LXM PRO debut contributing a goal and an assist after playing last summer for the MLL’s Charlotte Hounds. Goalie Johnny Rodriguez (Salisbury 11’) anchored a tough defensive unit with 7 saves. Check out the latest Maverik video drop highlighting the sights and sounds from LXM Orange County.

Highlighting the LXM PRO season opener was the interaction between LXM Pro athletes and fans. “The idea that we are able to bring world class players right to them is something they really appreciate," said Maverik United Coach Jeff Burroughs. On Saturday morning, LXM players from both teams took time out of their game day preparations to do an hour clinic for players in the area. “It’s nice to give back and support the growth of lacrosse in up and coming areas. The passion these players already have for the game is inspiring,” Said Billy Bitter.

This weekend, Del Mar will give Maverik United another opportunity to connect with fans, and showcase the talents of some of the games top players. LXM PRO athletes will lead on-site instructional clinics that will touch on vital aspects of the game such as shooting, dodging, face offs, crease defense and more. Notre Dame NCAA coaching inspired clinics will take place throughout the event. “The fan support has been incredible," said Johnny Christmas. "The LXM PRO Tour and Adrenaline Tournament Series offer a great environment for these local players to experience the sport."
