High School Girls’ Lacrosse All-Americans Named

— US Lacrosse has named the high school girls’ lacrosse players selected as US Lacrosse High School All-Americans and All-Academic Team members. Players were selected through US Lacrosse’s 67 chapters nationwide and recognized for their efforts on and off the field.

450 players were selected as first-team and honorable mention All-Americans and over 2,700 players were recognized for excellence in the classroom as All-Academic honorees.

A US Lacrosse All-American is a player who exhibits superior skills and techniques and possesses exceptional game sense and knowledge. A US Lacrosse All-American is one of the best players in the United States, while also embodying excellent sportsmanship.

A US Lacrosse All-Academic honoree is a player who exhibits exemplary lacrosse skills, good sportsmanship on the field, and represents high standards of academic achievement. This player has left her mark beyond the lacrosse field and the classroom by making significant contributions of service to her school and/or community.

US Lacrosse also awards a third honor for girls’ high school players, the Jackie Pitts Award. These winners, to be named later this week, are senior players recognized by each chapter who truly honor lacrosse, invest in the development of the game in their communities, are exceptional players who continually strive to improve their game, and serves as exemplary members of their team. Honorees exemplify the spirit of the game, on and off the field.
