Grip 'N Rip: LXM PRO Player Kyle Harrison

Lacrosse Playground, every once in awhile, features a different lacrosse athlete as part of our “Grip ‘N Rip” series, where we’ll find out what the best use to fine tune their game. As LXM PRO draws closer you might be wondering what the pros will be playing with. Is there a specific way you like your pocket?
I don't carry one handed often, so I don't need/want a low pocket.

So you prefer a high pocket?
The most important thing for me is having a quick release when I shoot the ball, so the high pocket makes the ball come flying out of this thing!



What factors contribute to helping the ball fly out with a quick release?
It's a tight top with the mesh pulled down to give it a natural channel. I've been terrified of having an illegal stick since I was a little guy, so I don't lay with a bag at all.

Does the ball move around a good deal in your pocket due to your shallow pocket?
I use a fairly shallow pocket, but it still has a lot of hold so the ball stays in one spot.
