Minneapolis, MN – July 9, 2015 —Epoch Lacrosse’s plans for future growth took a large step forward today when it announced that Emily Plahn, 2012-13 Captain of the University of Minnesota Women’s lacrosse team, has come on board as a Product Engineer.
In her new position, Emily will be putting her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota to good use managing Epoch’s product prototyping and working closely with the product development team. She will also oversee Epoch’s customer service team, manage the highly successful 382Crew product test team and work with customers to gather invaluable product feedback to fuel the development of Epoch’s next generation of lacrosse products.
Emily’s love of lacrosse is not confined to Epoch’s offices. She is actively involved in the Minnesota lacrosse community and in 2015 was an assistant coach at Osseo Park Center High School and coached the 7/8the grade team for Blaine Youth Lacrosse. Emily also shares her love of lacrosse and the life lessons it teaches with intercity kids serving as a mentor with the Lewis Sports Foundation.
“Emily’s unbridled passion for lacrosse and her engineering mindset is a powerful combination we are looking to tap into,” said James Miceli, Principal at Epoch Lacrosse. “She will be a key cog in helping us reach our goals and grow our company.”
