deBeer is getting ready to release their new Rapture complete stick and strung head this Fall. We were lucky enough to get ahold of one and string it up with the Gripper Pro pocket. As you may be able to see some dirt we obviously had to hit the field for a test.
A new sidewall design and extremely curved scoop make this a winner right off the shelf. You'll notice that the sidewalls angle outward coming up from the ball stop reminiscent of the original apex. This is a great feature and radical departure from the Fierce look we have become used to. There was minimal ball rattle and tons of control right away. Also, check out the ball stop area.
The Rapture has a split ball stop area at the front to reduce weight and doesn't affect play, plus it looks totally cool. This head is quite light and should be suitable for just about any position on the field. The string hole designs in the sidewall are large enough to take a full size shooting string which is a great added feature to increase the playability of the Rapture when custom strung.
In addition the Rapture is going to be available in 9 colors to make it easy to find the look that works for your game. With a new look to all of the deBeer handles for 2012 there will be lots of colors to go along with your head color choice, our suggestion is to use the deBeer Flex handle which released last year to build yourself a very nice and very durable combination.
