In cooperation with Warrior/Brine Lacrosse, Bridgewater College head men's lacrosse coach Mic Grant has unveiled a sleek Vegas Gold Warrior TII helmet as the program prepares to open play in the spring of 2013.
The new helmet directly matches the school colors with the majority of the helmet being finished in vegas gold, while the chinstrap and inside of the helmet are black and the design is polished off with a crimson face mask.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with Warrior/Brine as we begin to unveil our equipment line for the upcoming year. For our helmet, we have decided to go with a traditional, polished look that is reflective of Bridgewater College and the ODAC. Unveiling our helmet is just another step towards starting play in February," said Grant.
Bridgewater College has taken a number of steps towards launching the new men's lacrosse program since it was announced in April of 2011 that the Eagles would field a new program. Following the announcement from the Board of Trustees, The College launched a nationwide search for its first coach. In late June of 2011, Athletic Director Curt Kendall announced the hiring of Grant to lead the program.
Since being tabbed as the program's first coach, Grant has hit the recruiting trail hard and also hired the program's first assistant coach in Billy Cameron.
Grant, Cameron and the rest of the Eagles will open their inaugural season of play on February 23 at home when they play host to Transylvania University.
