Adrenaline Showcase Returns for 7th Consecutive Year

Adrenaline Showcase Returns for 7th Consecutive Year

Quickly following the Adrenaline Black Card and Platinum Cup—the most exclusive national recruiting weekend of the year—the Adrenaline team will make its way back west for the Adrenaline Showcase, the top western recruiting event.  Now in its 7th consecutive year, the Adrenaline Showcase is widely recognized as the best opportunity for top players west of the Mississippi to play in front of coaches from many of the NCAA’s most elite programs.  There will be a change in venue this year as the Adrenaline Showcase moves to Colorado Springs, Colorado from its longstanding home in Sonoma, California. “We’re thrilled to announce the change in venue. Sonoma State has been great for us in the past but hosting the event in a more centralized location was a key move for us and we couldn’t be happier with the location we’ve landed on,” says Rory Doucette, VP of Adrenaline Events.

This year’s venue will feature eight high quality turf fields as well as one perfectly manicured grass field. On par with all top-level Adrenaline recruiting events, the fields will each have designated recruiter sidelines, tents, chairs, and Gatorade stations to accommodate the recruiters as well as the players.

As its name suggests, this event serves to provide western players with the opportunity to ‘showcase’ their talent in front of top tier college recruiters. There will be no shortage of talent at this year’s event as Adrenaline has consistently pooled together the who’s who of western lacrosse. The centralized location will only aid in gathering the top 150 players in the west.

The Adrenaline Evaluation Team (AET) carefully selects the best players from west of the Mississippi to play in the Showcase. The open selection process includes AET evaluations accumulated over the year from various Adrenaline and other western events, trusted coaches’ recommendations, highlight video reviews, and specific player requests from college recruiters. Once the tournament reaches full capacity, players are assigned to rosters and set to play with their newly formed team in two days of games and clinics. The open and fair selection process has manifested itself in astounding college placement statistics and has established a trusting relationship with the college recruiters.

“As the game continues to explode in the west, the level of talent and caliber of student athletes we are choosing from to form our player pool is incredible and extremely competitive. We are very excited about the unprecedented level of geographic diversity as we anticipate this year’s Showcase event to include players from 16 different states and western Canada. Along with our best player pool to date, we expect our recruiter attendance to be off the charts,” says Jono Zissi, Adrenaline Recruiting Director.

Adrenaline will once again offer its highly anticipated Adrenaline Treatment package for each participant. The players will be decked out with head to toe custom Adrenaline Showcase gear.  Stay tuned for a full gear release and event preview in the coming months.

Immediately following the Adrenaline Showcase, fifty Elite and High School level teams will take over the fields in Colorado Springs for the 9th annual Adrenaline Shootout.  Many Showcase players will rejoin their club teams for two additional days of tournament play. Attending recruiters will have the opportunity to evaluate Showcase players in an intimate, individual setting, then evaluate a larger number of high-caliber players in a team tournament atmosphere.  Adrenaline will extend their stay a second weekend to host the Middle School and Youth Shootout in which fifty more teams will compete for a chance to become the 2014 Adrenaline Shootout Champions.
