New Brunswick, NJ — The famed Adrenaline Black Card Recruiting Event is set to take place this Friday, June 13th, at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Always known for exceeding expectations, Adrenaline has introduced a new twist, partnering with the 8 best club programs in the country to form the Adrenaline Platinum Cup. With the remarkable talent in attendance, the Platinum Cup will be the premier club tournament in the country, and will be held immediately following the conclusion of the Adrenaline Black Card event, June 14th – 15th. The inaugural event is set to include, Team 91, Long Island Express, True Regional, Mesa Fresh, West Coast Starz, Dukes, Laxachusetts, and Sweetlax. Each club program will bring their national teams from the graduation years of 2015 to 2018 for this highly competitive tournament. There will be divisional champions at each individual graduation year. The Black Card and The Platinum Cup will combine to create an unparalleled recruiting weekend as college recruiters will be afforded the opportunity to evaluate the best players in North America in an individual setting at the Black Card event and also within a team tournament at the Platinum Cup. All proceeds from the Adrenaline Black Card will be donated to the National Prostate Foundation in the name of coaching icon Jack McGetrick.
“This event is very simple. It is about the 8 best clubs in the sport coming together to compete in high quality games over the course of a single weekend. When building this weekend it has been about two things: putting the players in the best situation possible to ultimately give them the most opportunities for their future and creating an event that has a mission beyond the lacrosse field. We believe the intimate environment, highly competitive clubs, and first class event production will create a memorable and valuable experience for the athletes. Connecting the event with the Black Card event only enhances what will be a great three days of lacrosse. Also including the top players and teams in the country with a charitable cause is important to the Adrenaline Movement. These influencers in our sport have a chance to redefine its culture and I hope this event can show them they can." Alex Cade, President and CEO
The Adrenaline Black Card will feature the top 1% of uncommitted players in the entire country at this summer’s event. Only the top 114 players from North America will be invited to the most exclusive recruiting event in lacrosse. Only the 2016 and 2017 classes will be represented. Each team will be comprised of 19 players who will compete in four games throughout the day. Last year’s event produced an unprecedented CPSR (Adrenaline’s Collegiate Placement Success Rate) for upperclassmen and a commitment rate of 100% is expected as the 2016s continue to make the next step towards committing to play lacrosse at the collegiate level. BLACK CARD ROSTERS
The Adrenaline Black Card event is becoming widely known as the top individual recruiting event in the country, and the Platinum Cup is anticipated by many to be the most exclusive team-recruiting event. Black Card will feature the top uncommitted players from each of the Platinum affiliated clubs in addition to the best remaining talent from outlier clubs and high school teams across the country. In addition to unparalleled recruiting exposure, Black Card participants will also receive a custom gear pack from Cascade, Maverik and Adrenaline Apparel. The Adrenaline Evaluation Team (AET) along with the help of recommendations from respected high school, club and college coaches will combine forces to invite only the most deserving and recruit-able players in the country.
In 2012, Adrenaline became the first company to disregard the preconceived notions of high priced recruiting showcases with the design of the Adrenaline Black Card. The event, which is run again this year at cost, only charges the participating players for the use of fields, referees, and coaches. The fee for this year’s event is $150.00, a price point that is absolutely unprecedented in the world of recruiting showcases. Adrenaline is confident that this event will undoubtedly pool together the absolute top 1% of our country’s best players.
Most importantly, Adrenaline will be raising awareness for Prostate Cancer in honor of Coach Jack McGetrick. The longtime Bellarmine and Hartford coach lost a long battle to the disease in 2010. All proceeds from the event will be donated in his name. Last year the Adrenaline Awareness initiative raised over $2,700 for the great cause, a number that hopefully will be trumped by this year’s fundraising as awareness continues to spread. RECRUITERS
The event will host over 115 college recruiters, including virtually every top program in Division I lacrosse. Coaches will be provided the perfect opportunity to evaluate the best talent, right in their backyard. Below are just a few of the schools: (click the image to see the full list)
“We were able to lay a solid foundation for this event in our first two years and we have all of the top coaches in the country signing on and supporting us for this initiative in year three. The amount of recruiters coupled with the talent pool and low cost, make this unlike any other marquee recruiting event in the country, and that is something we are very proud of here at Adrenaline.” Jono Zissi, Director of Recruiting.
GEAR
This year Black Card has teamed up with Cascade and Maverik for all hard goods, with ADRLN apparel onboard as official soft goods provider. This year’s Adrenaline Treatment gear pack will include custom designed Cascade R helmets, custom designed Rome NXT gloves, Adrenaline Treated(http://adrln.com/team-treatment/) jerseys, shorts and new Strife Technical sock! Gatorade will be on site this year as well, to ensure each player stays hydrated throughout the day with water and Gatorade available at every field. SKLZ will also be onsite to provide knowledge and instruction to these players as they take their game to the next level. With a great crew of supporting sponsors, the 2014 Adrenaline Black Card is certain to be the best yet.
STRIFE TECHNICAL SOCK (as seen in the MLL)
The Black card event will be the first event where non-professional players get a chance to use the most technically advanced sock in lacrosse. The MLL has been using them all season and the feedback has been extremely positive. We're thrilled to get the socks on the top high school players in the country this weekend.
