This weekend's 4th annual Adrenaline All-American Game had been billed as a marquee showdown of the West's top players; they didn't disappoint. Saturday's game featured all the fireworks we've come to expect from this event, as Adrenaline celebrated the achievements of some of the West's top young college-bound lacrosse players.
Before the highly anticipated All-American game, the day kicked off with our annual Stars & Stripes festival, where youth players battled it out in a series of games with teams from all over the West. The youth teams were graced with the presence of numerous Adrenaline All-Americans throughout the day, who ran shooting, face-off, defense and goalie clinics before their big show. Prizes like signed Maverik Adrenaline All-American, and LXM Pro gloves were given away during the clinic to a couple of eager fans. It was awesome to see these young men giving back to the game by teaching their skills the sport's future stars.

The Adrenaline All-American game got underway at 5:30 pm and quickly showed it would be everything we were hoping for; non-stop action. The game proved to be a tale of two-halves as both teams took advantage of their high-powered offenses. The North squad went on a run right out of the gates as they coasted out in front early and held a 10-6 lead after the first half. The impressive first half for the North was highlighted with goals from Joe Reid (Denver), Joe Lang (Harvard), and Carlo Castaneda (Franklin & Marshall). Carlo Castaneda of Westlake, CA not only led the North in points (3,0), but also won the prestigious Tyler Lucas Scholarship

The second half was all about the South, as they battled back from a seven-goal deficit from the first quarter and never looked back. A few key individual efforts that boosted the South’s momentum included Jack Beare’s (Notre Dame) four goals, Jake Seau’s (Duke) four points (2,2), and game MVP Justin Anderson’s (UNC) five points (3,2). The South’s commanding lead was due in part to the defense’s run–and-gun transition and LSM Trent Schulte’s (Bellarmine) (0,2) involvement in almost every loose ball and transition play.
The final score favored the South team 20-15 with highlight reel goals, big hits and great saves throughout the game. In typical Adrenaline fashion, the players were decked out head to toe with top of the line gear including custom Cascade R's with headwrapz decals, custom Maverik Rome NXT gloves and the brand new Adrenaline AeroLyte uniforms that were a huge hit with the players. The lightweight and durable material is cut specifically for lacrosse athletes and is extremely breathable and functional.
“It is incredibly important for us at Adrenaline to give back to the players who have sacrificed their time and energy to become the best in the West. The Adrenaline All-American game is about rewarding these great players for their years of hard work and dedication to our sport. They do an incredible job representing the west coast and Adrenaline Lacrosse. Seeing these kids interacting with the youth players, running clinics, signing autographs, it makes it all worth it as this event truly has come full circle.” Jono Zissi, Recruiting Director.
