Here at Lacrosse Playground we are big fans of social media. And if any of you have taken a look on Twitter, you know that you are able to follow some of the top athletes in the sport. So a month ago we launched a sister site, LaxTweets.com, in beta form. After a month of testing and reviewing the site, we are happy to announce the official launch of LaxTweets.com, a way to keep tabs of all the lacrosse influencers in one place.
Below is an excerpt from the press release announcing the launch of the site:
Lacrosse Playground today announced the official launch of LaxTweets.com, a site designed to keep tabs on how the lacrosse community is interacting online. LaxTweets.com allows users to see what a variety of lacrosse players and industry influencers are talking about on Twitter. It does so by providing one place to view and reply to an aggregate of short online exchanges within the lacrosse industry.
More and more people in the lacrosse industry are turning to social media to communicate. Some of the top professional lacrosse players are tweeting on a regular basis while industry influencers, including equipment manufacturers, retailers, and media, are using Twitter to get information about the sport out to the lacrosse community.
LaxTweets.com allows users to view all tweets by athletes or within the industry, view all tweets by an individual player, suggest an athlete to add to the site, and reply or retweet the tweets from your favorite player.
