The Murray Building is a 16-year old building and serves as home for the Duke training and weight rooms, lacrosse and soccer coaches offices, and lacrosse and soccer locker and equipment rooms. The modern and spacious training room houses all the modalities and equipment necessary for keeping Duke's Olympic sports team healthy and in action.
Since this past July the facility has received a list of numerous upgrades. The first improvement came with an all rubber Infinity Max floor with in-ground rubber Olympic platforms. Next came the addition of 10 nine-foot multiracks from Power Lift and all rubber 25 and 45-pound plates from York.
The weight room also is crucial as student-athletes rehabilitate injuries and new cardio equipment was added to help the athletes stay fit if they are unable to practice. An addition of 10 lifting bars with a variety of new auxiliary equipment, including physio balls, ab rollers and hanging leg raise straps, from Perform Better and Power Systems gave the weight room its final touches to complete the renovations.
