Long Island lacrosse is known for its hard-nosed and blue collar style of play. Kaos Lacrosse, a start-up apparel company started by three Long Island laxers, brings a bit of that attitude to lacrosse apparel.
Kaos recently launched its Web site and 2010 line, which will be available at select retailers in time for the 2010 lax season. The company, founded by Tom Zummo (former NYIT and Major League Lacrosse middie), Scott Bonaguro (Farmingdale State) and Mike Maxwell (former NYIT middie), was developed to give lacrosse players casual and stylish off-field apparel with a bit of an attitude.
“We wanted to take the responsibility of creating a brand that supports the hard hitting, tough nosed, blue collar, bare knuckle players,” said Bonaguro. “This is their company, their brand, their line. Our focus is to provide a line of clothing for them to wear off the field and by doing so they rep their hard work and passion for the game.”
Kaos launched with five exclusive tee designs (Broken Star Tee, Execution Tee, Kaotic Tee, Mob Tee, and Inked Tee), two pullover hooded sweat shirt designs, a girls tank top (Kaos Boy Beater), and a pair of exclusive sweat pants. Kaos also has two hat designs (trucker and flexfit 210) which won’t be available until February 2010.
